The Carnival Conquest is a Conquest class ship and along with her sister ships Carnival Glory, Carnival Valor, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom sail under the Carnival Cruise Lines flag

The ship, launched in 2002. The Conquest class of ships are larger than the Fantasy, Destiny, Triumph and Spirit classes of ships built by Carnival and was created using the Destiny class as a template but lengthening her by almost 60 feet and using the new increased space to inroduce a premium restaurant and more facilities.

As you step inside the Carnival Conquest, you will notice the decorations. The Carnival fleet of ships carry a theme and you will find on board the Carnival Conquest, the theme is impressionist painters. You will soon pick up on some of the obvious designs that follow the theme an maybe some of the more hidden ones. Smile as you enter the Studio Atrium, Renoir and Monet restaurants, the Latour bar or even Henri's dance club the theme is there. The ship carries a real sense of class and has plenty of unique lounges and spaces for passengers to enjoy. The atrium, an important part in most Carnival ships, will amaze you with wide open spaces, the glass lifts all give such a feeling of freedom and space, you will suffer a small moment of puzzlement as your mind tries to understand that this is not a huge hotel, but actually your cruise ship. The feeling of space continues throughout the ship and through all the public spaces. Try visiting the main dining rooms, Renior and Monet restaurants, or to Cezanne Lido buffet & grill.

Why not venture up to the swimming pools and you will find the Twister. The Twister water slide is 214 foot long and is three stories high, rushing down to splash down into its own separate pool. What a great way to have fun whilst cruising between ports. No matter what your personal choices are, you will find them and more on the Carnival Conquest.

The Carnival Conquest has two main restaurants. The main restaurants are called The Monet and Renoir Restaurants. Both are similar in size and menu's however, the Monet benefits from better window views. Both restaurants follow in the soft, French Impressionist décor that makes them feel so comforting. You will even find some Eiffel Tower grille work amongst the hand painted soft blue walls and clouds painted on the ceiling in the Monet restaurant.

Alternatives to these formal rooms is the Restaurant Cezanne. Lido buffet & grill, this is a self serve style buffet with carving stations, a wok station and a Pizzeria. There is also a grill to order section called the Sky grill.

For those wanting to relax in the most comfortable way, there is always the 24 hour room service, where you can order snacks or a complete meal from the restaurant menu.

Excercise

The Carnival Conquest spa is operated by Steiner and includes treatments that you would expect in any top range spa. You can enjoy massages, acupuncture, body wraps and facials.

For passengers travelling as a couple, there is even a couples massage room. Some treatments are additional to the cost of the cruise, but these will be shown on board on the price boards. You can also relax in the whirlpools within the spa, one even has a view of the workout room, so whilst you are exercising you can imagine yourself in the water, and once you are in the water you can look back at all the other people exercising.

There is also a beauty salon on board the Carnival Conquest. The salon offers most forms of hairstyling and beauty treatments. Passengers have often reported that the appointment book can fill up very quickly especially on the day of the elegant nights.
The Carnival Conquest gym has all the facilities are included in the price of the cruises. The gym is fully equipped with men and womens lockers rooms which include showers to help you refesh after the workout. There is also an option to undertake some fitness classes such as yoga and pilates, but these carry a small charge.

If the jogging track seems to much, why not visit the golf pro and have your swing analysed and maybe improved, there is also a driving cage for those passengers wanting to knock a few balls or the putting green to improve that final touch of the ball into the cup . The golf pro is also just the person to discuss potential golfing opportunities when visiting port. Whatever you do, you will do it in Carnival style.

Formal nights

On the Carnival Conquest, there is roughly one formal night a week. Carnival call these evenings elegant nights. Passengers will receive notice with their tickets and will find the elegant night is usually the second or third night into the cruise which is usually a day at sea. The male passengers wear dark suits with ties or a tux, while women will opten wear short dresses or cocktail skirts. If you do not want to dress up, you can dine in the buffet areas on the elegant night. Even on normal nights, the main rstaurants have a smart dress code, rather than jeans and t shirts.

Smoking

Cigarette smoking in public venues will only be permitted in Carnival’s dance clubs as well as in designated areas within the casino and casino bar.

Smoking (including cigars) will be permitted in designated exterior open deck areas of all our ships. Additionally, smoking will also be allowed in the jazz club.

Smoking will be prohibited in all guest staterooms. Guests in balcony staterooms may smoke (including cigars) outside on their balcony. However, Spa suites and staterooms, inclusive of the balconies, will remain an entirely smoke-free environment.

Guests who smoke in their staterooms will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their on board account. Information on this fee is included in Carnival’s ticket contract.
