Carnival Spirit

Carnival Spirit
The Carnival Spirit is a Spirit class ship and was the first Spirit class cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Lines
The ship, launched in 2001 and underwent a refurbishment in 2009. The Spirit class of ships are actually smaller than the previous Fantasy class of ships built by Carnival. However, with the sleek design and the long length, give the new ships the look and feel of their counterparts, but with a more racey feel. The reduction of size is on purpose, by being slightly smaller, the Spirit class ships can travel through the Panama canal which opens up alot more potential ports of interest.
As you step inside the Carnival Spirit, you will notice the decorations. The ship carries a real sense of class and has plenty of unique lounges and spaces for passengers to enjoy. The atrium, an important part in most Carnival ships, will amaze you with wide open spaces, the glass lifts all give such a feeling of freedom and space, you will suffer a small moment of puzzlement as your mind tries to understand that this is not a huge hotel, but actually your cruise ship. The feeling of space continues throughout the ship and through all the public spaces. Try visiting the Carnival Spirit Pharaoh's Palace main show lounge. This huge lounge, decorated as the name suggests with all things Egyptian, will show you the lengths Carnival will go to, to ensure you are able to see great shows from great viewpoints. Where ever you go on board the shipYou will find lots of space to make your own or places to share and meet new friends. No matter what your personal choices are, you will find them and more on the Carnival Spirit.

For those wanting to have a special occaision, why not try Carnival Spirit's Nouveau Supper Club, considered to be the finest dining experience aboard the Carnival Spirit. Passengers sit beneath a huge ruby glass dome, amongst other diners in this huge two tiered restaurant based on the Hotel Tassel in Brusells. This does come at a cost and diners are expected to dress more formally when dining there. indeed the popularity is so great, the ship actually advise you to book a reservation there before you set food on board.
For those not wanting to dine formally, why not visit the La Playa Grille, this is a self serve style buffet with carving stations, a New York Deli Counter, Seafood Bistro and a Pizzeria.

For those wanting to relax in the most comfortable way, there is always the 24 hour room service, where you can order snacks or a complete meal from the restaurant menu.
