Disney Magic

Disney Magic
The Disney Magic is a childs imagination wrapped up and served at sea. As you would expect from Disney, the ship is high quality and full of entertainment for the children. Everything from the serviettes to the actual ship carries the Disney theme. Even the ships horn, required by law to sound seven times in time of emergencies has been given the Disney makeover, so whenever she sounds, you hear the first seven notes of "When you wish upon a star".

There are some breakaway points for adults feeling a little Disney overload, with exclusive adult only dining and also an adult only pool. To allow this quiet time, there are exccellent on board activities for the children, including their own swimming pool. There is also Group babysitting is available for children 12 weeks to 3 years old at "Flounder's Reef" Nursery

There are many dining options including the adults only, but some points to look for on the Disney Magic are Pluto's Dog House, a Quick Service restaurant located on Deck 9 which serves burgers for a quick bite or Goofy's Galley, a Quick Service restaurant also located on Deck 9 serving snacks. The ship also visits Disney's own island "Castaway Cay ". The island has been made to look like a castaway community, with buildings designed to look like hand crafted ruins from a shipwreck. Everything on the island is maintained to the usual standards of Disney, shops accept guests room charges for payment and food is included as part of the cruise package.

Formal nights

Even though it is a Disney cruise, there are formal nights on board, you should have a formal night on your second night, there is no party, but prior to dinner is the Captin's reception. You meet the officers and they give out free drinks and free children cocktails for the children. This is not always largely advertised, so be aware. There are also at least one semi formal night which is scaled down without the reception. All other nights are casual, there may also be a pirate night, where the pirate theme is spread around the dining experiences.

Disney Cruise Line has never allowed smoking in Guest staterooms. In addition, smoking is prohibited in all interior spaces throughout our ships. In an effort to provide a cruise experience that satisfies both our non-smoking and smoking Guests, smoking is permitted in designated areas of the ship. On the Disney Magic passengers may smoke on private balconies and outdoors on Deck 4 starboard side from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. only, and the starboard side open-air decks 9 and 10 (excluding the Mickey Pool area).
